The Senate Minority Bloc has called on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to maintain open communication with lawmakers amid concerns over the possible arrest of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa following the announcement of a P50-million reward.

According to Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and the Senate Minority Bloc, dialogue between the executive branch and senators is necessary to prevent a potentially violent confrontation should authorities move to arrest Dela Rosa.

The minority senators emphasized the importance of keeping communication channels open to ensure that any law enforcement action is carried out peacefully and in accordance with established legal procedures.

The appeal comes amid renewed attention to Dela Rosa’s legal situation and concerns surrounding his possible arrest.

The lawmakers urged the administration to prioritize dialogue and coordination to prevent tensions from escalating.

The Senate Minority Bloc’s position highlights concerns over maintaining peace, respecting due process and avoiding unnecessary confrontation as developments surrounding Dela Rosa’s case continue to unfold.
