Taipei, Taiwan — Filipino pop sensation SB19 continues to blaze a trail across Asia, delivering a high-voltage performance at the 2025 Hito Music Awards held in Taipei.
The five-member group captivated the crowd with a dynamic setlist that included fan-favorite anthems “DAM,” the fiery “DUNGKA!,” and their chart-topping hit “GENTO.” The performance not only showcased their signature sharp choreography and vocal prowess, but also reaffirmed their position as global P-pop trailblazers.
Adding to the night’s excitement was a surprise collaboration with Taiwanese boy group Ozone. The two groups brought the house down with a joint rendition of Ozone’s hit “World Top,” which seamlessly transitioned into an electrifying group dance break to “GENTO,” drawing thunderous cheers from the crowd.
This isn’t SB19’s first foray into Taiwan’s entertainment scene. The group previously gained attention after their performance on Season 2 of Taiwanese talent show Atom Boyz, where they also showcased “GENTO,” solidifying their presence in the local market.
The Hito Music Awards appearance comes as part of the group’s broader push into international markets. In April, they released their highly anticipated EP Simula at Wakas, which has received critical and commercial acclaim. The EP’s themes of growth, resilience, and reinvention have resonated deeply with fans across Asia and beyond.
SB19 is currently in the middle of their Simula at Wakas world tour, which launched with a monumental show at the Philippine Arena in May. Their next tour stop: Taipei on June 29, where fans are eagerly awaiting another explosive performance.
With packed arenas, cross-border collaborations, and a growing global fanbase, SB19 continues to redefine what it means to be a Filipino act on the world stage.
