Pop royalty is about to meet P-pop supremacy — but not in the way fans expected.
A wave of intrigue swept through social media on Friday evening, July 18, as Sarah Geronimo and SB19 ignited fan speculation with cryptic teasers for an upcoming collaboration titled “Umaaligid”, set for release on July 30, 2025.
Instead of a typical announcement, Sarah posted an enigmatic caption alongside a teaser image tagged with SB19’s handle. “Ang bigat ng katahimikan, tila may ikinukubli,” she wrote, hinting at themes of emotional tension and hidden truths. “Inuukit sa pandinig, isinisingit sa isip. Dumarami, tumitindi. Pero kailan naging totoo?” the caption continued, raising more questions than answers.
The five-member powerhouse SB19 amplified the excitement by reposting Sarah’s teaser on their own official channels. Meanwhile, G Music — the indie record label co-owned by Sarah and Matteo Guidicelli — added fuel to the fire by resharing the teaser on Instagram Stories.

Though rumors of a Geronimo-SB19 collab had swirled since 2024, the project remained under wraps. Now, with the title “Umaaligid” (which roughly translates to “Lurking” or “Hovering”), fans are anticipating a concept that veers away from bubblegum pop into something darker and more introspective.
Both camps have had an electrifying 2025. SB19’s “Simula at Wakas” World Tour is in full swing, building on the success of their April EP release that included crowd favorites “DAM” and “DUNGKA!”. Meanwhile, Sarah has been more selective with her music releases this year, opting instead to focus on curating collaborations through G Music — making “Umaaligid” all the more special.
Whether the track will be a duet, a short film, or a multi-part concept drop remains unclear. But one thing is certain: this fusion of musical forces promises a compelling blend of powerhouse vocals, genre-bending

production, and rich storytelling.
Mark your calendars — the mystery begins to unravel on July 30.
