The Quezon City Government has issued a traffic advisory for the Quezon City Pride Run 2025, scheduled for Saturday, June 7, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.Â
Several roads along Tomas Morato will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of the participants and smooth traffic.
Road Closures:
- Timog Avenue corner Tomas Morato Avenue
- Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Madriñan
These intersections will be entirely closed to traffic during the specified hours.
The Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) implemented a re-routing scheme for affected motorists to help them avoid the closed road and maintain smooth traffic flow.
Re-routing Plan 1
For vehicles coming from Tomas Morato Avenue towards Don Alejandro Roces Avenue or Kamuning Road:
Turn right to Scout Borromeo, then left to Scout Tuason, then continue straight on Scout Tuason, then left to Don Alejandro Roces Avenue, then right to Tomas Morato Avenue.
Re-routing Plan 2
For vehicles coming from Kamuning towards Don Alejandro Roces Avenue and Timog Avenue:
Turn right to Tomas Morato Avenue, left to Marathon Street, go to Scout Tuason Street, right to Scout Ojeda Street, right to Scout Tobias Street, or turn left to Scout Tobias Street towards Scout Chuatoco.
Along with TTMD, Task Force Disiplina and the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) will be deployed to assist in managing traffic flow in the said affected area and ensure public safety.
The Quezon City government advised motorists to anticipate heavy traffic in the affected areas and to consider taking alternative routes to avoid delays.
