House of Representatives deputy secretary general Sofonias Gabonada provided an update during a press conference on Tuesday regarding the 24 trucks filled with relief goods deployed from the House of Representatives.
The trucks arrived in the Bicol Region at 10:00 a.m. on November 9, reaching Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
“Nakarating na po as of 10:00 AM kanina, for the relief goods and some rehabilitation items. Nakarating na sa Cam Norte at Cam Sur,” he said.
“Half of the trucks are moving towards Albay, and the last one is (headed to) Catanduanes in preparation for the massive relief and rehabilitation efforts on Thursday with Speaker Martin Romualdez,” he added.
He also assured that relief goods had been sent to Regions I, II, CALABARZON, and VIII.
Gabonada explained that through House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, there has been an endorsement for allotted funds for each representative, enabling them to provide cash assistance to those affected by the ongoing disturbances caused by the typhoons.
“Nag-endorso na rin sa pamamagitan ng Office of House Speaker at sa utos na din ni President Bongbong Marcos, nagpa-endorso na din tayo ng pondo para sa ating mga House members para mabigyan din ng cash assistance ang mga taong naapektuhan,” he said.
