Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on Wednesday congratulated the 5,594 examinees who passed the 2025 bar exams and reminded them to prioritize integrity in their legal careers.
Out of 11,420 candidates who completed the three-day test, nearly 49 percent succeeded, according to Supreme Court Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier.
In his message, Recto encouraged new lawyers to always do what is right, even when it is difficult or unpopular, and to let honesty guide their decisions.
“As you start your journey in the legal profession, may you never waver in your pursuit of truth and justice. Let your integrity guide your practice, and your courage sustain you in the hard moments,” Recto said.
He added that lawyers should always remember their service is ultimately to the Filipino people and the nation.
Recto also urged them to combine skill, intellect, and heart in pursuing what is just for the country and its citizens.
Officials described this year’s bar exam as rigorous but fair, highlighting the challenge and significance of the assessment for aspiring members of the legal profession.
