Rains continue to prevail across Phl

Most areas in the country will continue to experience rains due to three weather systems, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday.

Scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line will continue to prevail across the Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Quezon, and Aurora.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies are also forecast in Caraga and Davao.

Moderate to heavy rains in the areas mentioned above could result in flash floods or landslides, the state weather bureau warned.

The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring rains across Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon. It will also bring isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

Isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are forecast in Luzon and Visayas.

In Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA said no low pressure area was monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.  (PNA)
