Quick response to 911 call leads to arrest of QC church burglars

The quick response of police to a 911 call led to the arrest of three suspects involved in a robbery at a church construction site in Quezon City, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin reported that the call was received at 7:05 a.m. on Saturday, indicating that individuals had forcibly entered the construction area of a religious building in Barangay Bungad along West Avenue and stolen copper tubes from the air-conditioning system. A mobile unit was dispatched and arrived at the scene by 7:07 a.m.

Aberin highlighted the NCRPO’s capability for rapid deployment and real-time coordination, aligning with Philippine National Police chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III’s vision for a more responsive service.

Security footage revealed that the suspects used a tricycle as their getaway vehicle. A hot pursuit operation was promptly initiated with the assistance of village authorities. All three suspects were apprehended, and the tricycle was recovered.
