The Government Procurement Policy Board–Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) has cited the Philippine Ports Authority for its full compliance with government procurement requirements, highlighting its commitment to support President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. (PBBM)’s call for transparency and credibility.
In its bulletin, GPPB-TSO’s policy board on procurement process named PPA as a sterling example in strictly complying with the requirements in all its transactions in the previous year.
The recognition was relayed through a letter informing PPA that it successfully complied with the prescribed procurement monitoring and reporting requirements following the review and validation of its submitted reports for the Fiscal Year 2025 Procurement Monitoring Reports (PMRs).
In reaction, PPA general manager Jay Daniel Santiago cited that “the recognition underscores the PPA’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance in the management of public procurement activities.”
“It likewise reflects the agency’s adherence to national procurement policies and its efforts to ensure that government resources are utilized efficiently and responsibly in support of public service delivery,” Santiago added.
He then commended the members of the PPA’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), the committee’s secretariat, end-user units and all agency personnel involved in procurement planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for their dedication and professionalism.
“This recognition affirms our collective commitment to uphold the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and compliance in government procurement. It is a testament to the hard work of our procurement personnel and operating units across the PPA organization,” PPA’s top executive pointed out.
“The PPA remains steadfast in strengthening its procurement systems and processes as part of its broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency, institutional integrity, and public trust while continuously improving the delivery of port services nationwide,” he stressed to conclude.
