MYEG Philippines, Inc. and the Philippine Ports Authority have teamed up to bring faster, more convenient, and more accessible digital payments to the country’s port sector, marking another step in the modernization of government services tied to trade and logistics.

The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement, will integrate MYEG’s Electronic Payment Collection System into the PPA’s e-Payment Portal, allowing port users to settle a wide range of transactions online with greater ease. Signing the agreement were MYEG Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldaña and Business Development Manager Reymart Coja, together with PPA General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago and Assistant General Manager for Operations Mark Jon Palomar.

Under the integration, stakeholders will be able to pay for key port-related transactions through expanded digital channels, including PPA accreditation fees, Permit to Operate applications, Transport Accreditation and Vehicle Pass charges, cargo handling and wharfage fees, passenger terminal fees, and other service-related payments.

At present, the PPA accepts payments through cashier stations within port areas and through the Land Bank of the Philippines’ LinkBiz Portal, where the agency is enrolled as a sub-merchant. With MYEG’s payment gateway now set to power the portal, users will gain access to more than 100,000 payment touchpoints across the country, dramatically widening the ways they can complete port transactions.

The expanded payment ecosystem includes major e-wallets such as GCash, Maya, GrabPay, ShopeePay, and PalawanPay; credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and JCB; and online bank transfers via institutions such as BDO, BPI, RCBC, and Maybank. It also opens over-the-counter payment options through outlets like 7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, Bayad, SM Store, Robinsons Department Store, Tambunting Pawnshop, and RD Pawnshop.

The integration likewise supports QRPh, enabling payments through participating banking apps such as UnionBank, Metrobank, Chinabank, Security Bank, GoTyme, MariBank, AllBank, and other financial institutions linked to the national QR payment standard.

The digital payment system is expected to benefit a wide range of port users, including shipping lines, terminal operators, importers, exporters, freight forwarders, trucking firms, and private port service providers. These businesses regularly use platforms such as ACTS, WebTrack, and the PPA e-Payment Portal to settle cargo charges, gate passes, lease payments, and other operational fees essential to keeping goods moving efficiently through the country’s ports.

By shifting more of these transactions online, the partnership is expected to cut processing time, reduce the need for in-person visits to port cashier offices, and improve the overall experience for businesses operating in the maritime and logistics sectors. It also aligns with the government’s broader push to simplify procedures and accelerate the use of digital tools across public agencies.

For both businesses and the general public, the integration offers greater flexibility, convenience, and round-the-clock access to port-related services. More importantly, it supports smoother logistics flows, more efficient port operations, and a stronger environment for trade and investment in the Philippines.

MYEG Philippines is a leading provider of electronic government solutions and has spent the past two decades advancing online public service automation in both Malaysia and the Philippines through platforms built on internet technology, automation, big data, and digital payments.

The Philippine Ports Authority, a government-owned and controlled corporation under the Department of Transportation, is responsible for managing, developing, and regulating the country’s port system. It oversees major seaports nationwide and plays a central role in supporting maritime trade, economic activity, and the safe and efficient movement of cargo and passengers across the country.
