Port of Subic holds first executive committee meeting under Broto

In a landmark initiative, the Port of Subic, led by district collector, Atty. Marlon Fritz B. Broto, conducted its first-ever official Executive Committee meeting. This marks a significant departure from the usual staff meetings, as the port adopts a more structured and strategic approach inspired by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Executive Committee meetings held at the main office.

The groundbreaking meeting aimed to review the Port’s recent accomplishments and developments, aligning its operations with the bureau’s overall goals of seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

“𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘶𝘣𝘪𝘤,” said Broto. “𝘉𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵, 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. Key discussions during the meeting focused on evaluating recent operational achievements, sharing updates on ongoing developmental projects, and cascading crucial instructions from the head office. This structured platform will serve as an essential tool in streamlining communication and decision-making across all port operations.

The move to establish an Executive Committee meeting reflects Broto’s commitment to enhancing the Port’s operational standards and aligning its priorities with the bureau’s mission of trade facilitation, revenue generation, and border security.

“𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵,” Broto added. “𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥-𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴-𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦.”

The first Executive Committee meeting is expected to set a precedent for future collaborations and strategic initiatives within the Port of Subic, ensuring it remains a vital player in the country’s trade and economic development.
