Port conducts management review in preparation for internal quality audit and ISO re-certification

In its continuous commitment to excellence and efficiency, the BOC – Port of Subic successfully conducted a management review (MR) last February 14, 2025, as part of its preparation for the upcoming internal quality audit in March 2025. This initiative is a critical step in the port’s pursuit of ISO re-certification, ensuring that its processes remain aligned with international standards.

The management review was attended by key officials, led by BOC district collector, Atty. Marlon Fritz B. Broto, along with the port’s quality management team. The session was further strengthened by the presence of Marilou A. Cabigon, senior lead auditor from the Interim Internal Quality Management System Office (IIQMSO), who provided valuable insights on enhancing quality and operational efficiency.

Discussions during the review focused on evaluating the port’s current quality management system, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic actions to enhance service delivery. The collective efforts of the port’s leadership and quality team reflect their dedication to upholding excellence in customs operations and stakeholder engagement.

Broto emphasized the importance of maintaining a culture of continuous improvement, stating, “𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘸𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘵, 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘐𝘚𝘖 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴.”
