The Philippine National Police (PNP), in coordination with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), intercepted three abandoned inbound parcels containing illegal drugs at a cargo facility in Barangay Vitalez, Parañaque City.

The packages contained Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, or Ecstasy, and Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, also known as Shabu.

Investigators traced the shipments to three local consignees while the parcels were sent from shippers in Germany and Zambia.

No arrests were made since the packages were left unattended. The seized drugs were turned over to PDEA for proper disposition.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez said the operation demonstrated the agency’s commitment to intelligence-driven enforcement.

He added that the PNP will continue to act to protect communities from illegal drugs.

Authorities are still investigating the network behind the shipments and pursuing leads to disrupt drug trafficking.
