Mima Alicia
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified two suspects in the fatal shooting of Caloocan-based vlogger Mima Alicia and is investigating the possible involvement of a criminal syndicate in the attack.
PNP Public Information Office chief Col. Allen Rae Co said police operations were ongoing to locate the suspects, who remained at large.
Authorities believed the two men were either members of a syndicate or had been hired by one to carry out the killing.
Co said investigators were also reviewing the suspects’ backgrounds and previous activities, noting that one of them had been linked to several earlier criminal cases.
He declined to disclose additional information about the suspects or the alleged syndicate, saying the investigation and police manhunt were still underway.
Alicia was shot dead by two assailants riding a motorcycle in Caloocan City early Friday.
Police were also examining whether the vlogger’s online content and public statements could have been a factor in the attack.
The PNP said it was coordinating with Alicia’s family to ensure their safety while preparing the criminal complaints against the identified suspects.
