In celebration of International Women’s Month, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Batangas, under the leadership of PCol. Jacinto “Jack” Malinao Jr. partnered with St. Luke’s Medical Center to launch “Fit to Serve: A Program for the Wellness of Women Police Officers.”
Held on March 24–25, 2025, at South Peak Garden & Events Place in Brgy. Banaba, Batangas City, the two-day event aimed to promote women’s physical and mental well-being in the police force—recognizing their resilience, dedication, and vital role in law enforcement.
The initiative opened with a blood donation drive, during which over a hundred officers volunteered, showcasing their deep commitment to public service and saving lives beyond the call of duty.
The second day focused on the wellness of female police officers, who participated in a series of health talks and medical consultations conducted by experts from St. Luke’s Medical Center. Topics included mental health, heart care, nutritional counseling, and dental hygiene—equipping participants with the knowledge to take charge of their health.

National leaders, including President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, and Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, sent messages of support.
President Marcos congratulated and affirmed the government’s support, saying the event “underscores the nation’s commitment to the well-being of law enforcement officers.” He stressed that “true honor goes beyond medals—it ensures that those who defend peace are not left to bear its cost alone.”
In a heartfelt video message, First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos emphasized the significance of police wellness, “Our police force plays a crucial role in ensuring peace and order in our communities. Their overall health should be a priority because a healthy police force is a strong force. Thank you to everyone who has taken steps to support the well-being of those who serve and protect us daily.”
Senate President Escudero also commended the initiative, encouraging officers to embrace preventive healthcare, “I hope that through the launch of this program, our police officers will be encouraged to prioritize their health—especially preventive care—so they can avoid illnesses and manage existing conditions before they worsen.”
This collaboration between PNP Batangas and St. Luke’s Medical Center reflects a shared vision of promoting health and resilience within the police force. The “Fit to Serve” program lays the groundwork for long-term support and sustainable health practices by encouraging a culture of preventive care and holistic wellness.
As St. Luke’s continues to champion health-focused partnerships, the initiative sets a powerful example of how caring for those who serve our communities leads to a more potent, more capable police force.
