The Philippine National Police (PNP) said a suspect listed among the region’s most wanted persons was arrested in San Ildefonso, Bulacan on May 3.
Police identified the accused as the No. 2 most wanted person at the regional level and said he was apprehended in Barangay Lapnit at around 1:20 p.m.
Operatives from the San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station served the warrant of arrest in connection with four counts of statutory rape and three counts of acts of lasciviousness.
Court documents showed no bail was recommended for the statutory rape charges, while bail for the acts of lasciviousness cases was set at Php 600,000.
Authorities said the suspect was taken into police custody following the operation.
The arrest was carried out by personnel under the Bulacan Police Provincial Office.
Police said the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to locate individuals with standing warrants for serious criminal offenses.
The accused will remain in custody pending turnover to the court and further legal proceedings.
