Police arrested the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man in Hermosa, Bataan, after a 15-hour pursuit that ended in Pampanga.
The Philippine National Police said the suspect was arrested during a follow-up operation in Barangay San Juan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The case stemmed from the shooting incident in Barangay Culis, Hermosa, Bataan, on June 26.
Authorities said police also recovered a U.S. carbine caliber .30 with a loaded magazine during the operation.
Investigators also located the white passenger van allegedly used in the crime.
The suspect and the recovered evidence were brought to the Hermosa Municipal Police Station for documentation and legal proceedings.
Police said a murder complaint was being prepared for filing against the suspect.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Nartatez said the arrest showed that suspects would be pursued and held accountable, as the police continued intensified operations against criminality.
