PHINMA Education and Lenovo partner to expand quality education acess in SEA

In the Philippines, only one in four students who start first grade will go on to earn a tertiary degree—a stark reality driven largely by financial barriers. PHINMA Education, a private educational network, is working to change that. Through its 12 institutions in the Philippines and Indonesia, PHINMA offers affordable education from college to university level, helping thousands of students—many of whom are the first in their families to reach higher education.

To date, PHINMA Education has supported over 144,000 students and now offers more than 110 academic programs. But to better serve its mission, the organization recognized the need to modernize and streamline its IT systems.

Creating a unified tech ecosystem
To tackle challenges caused by using multiple technology providers across campuses, PHINMA Education partnered with Lenovo to standardize its devices across all institutions. This move has simplified IT management, reduced compatibility issues, and created a more cohesive, efficient infrastructure.

Through this partnership, staff and students now benefit from high-performance devices and educational software that enhance digital learning and make classrooms more interactive and personalized.

Strengthening the foundation for learning
One of PHINMA’s priorities is preparing students for the workforce by equipping them with real-world skills. Through Lenovo’s EdVision program, educators receive support and training to effectively integrate digital tools into their teaching. The collaboration also includes Lenovo’s Device as a Service (DaaS), helping PHINMA maximize resources while minimizing downtime.

With Lenovo overseeing its IT infrastructure, PHINMA can focus on delivering high-quality education powered by modern teaching methods and the latest technology.

Looking ahead
In just two years, PHINMA Education has acquired around 2,000 Lenovo devices, with plans to add another 1,000 by 2025. Future initiatives include adopting Lenovo’s TruScale Device as a Service and Managed Services to ensure a consistent supply of reliable devices and round-the-clock IT support.

As PHINMA continues to expand across Southeast Asia, its partnership with Lenovo plays a crucial role in its mission: to help underprivileged youth break the cycle of poverty through accessible, high-quality education.
