The Philippines is set to make history as it hosts Southeast Asia’s first-ever International Padel Federation (FIP) Silver tournament from May 21 to 25 at the Manila Padel Club in Bonifacio Global City.

The event will bring together 128 players from 20 different countries, including top-ranked athletes in the FIP’s global top 100, competing in both the men’s and women’s Open divisions.

A total prize pool of €15,000 (approximately PHP 1 million) and up to 80 FIP ranking points are up for grabs in the tournament, which is organized by Asia Padel Events (APE) in partnership with the Philippine Padel Association (PPA).

Representing the host country, top Filipino player and lawyer Jessica Marie Agra—currently ranked No. 173 in the world—will team up with Turkey’s Dilara Torssell, who holds the No. 145 spot in the rankings.

“This is a milestone for padel in the Philippines. Hosting Southeast Asia’s first FIP Silver tournament highlights our growth and ambition,” said PPA President Alenna Dawn Magpantay. “We’re proud to welcome the global padel community to Manila.”

APE, working closely with the FIP, continues its mission to expand the sport’s footprint across Asia.

“We are proud to partner with the FIP and the Philippine federation to bring a silver-tier tournament to Manila,” said Fredrik Lonnqvist of Asia Padel Events. “This event underscores our collective vision to grow padel throughout Asia.”

Alongside the professional competition, the Asia Challenger Series will also take place, offering a stage for amateur players across the continent. Sponsored by Babolat and the Rafa Nadal Academy, the series allows non-professionals to compete, earn ranking points, and be part of a world-class event atmosphere.
