Amman, Jordan — The Philippine Embassy in Jordan has issued a public safety advisory for all Filipinos in the kingdom, following heightened security alerts from the Jordanian government amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The advisory, based on guidelines from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, outlines critical instructions in the event of air sirens or falling unidentified objects—a reflection of growing concerns tied to the regional fallout from the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.

  • Indoors: Stay away from windows and refrain from using elevators in case of a power outage.

In all cases, residents are advised to:

  • Call 911 for emergencies involving injuries or property damage.
  • Avoid spreading rumors or misinformation.
  • Rely only on official sources of information.
  • Limit phone use to emergencies to avoid overloading the communication network.
