SEOUL — South Korea will extend the waiver on visa processing fees for group tourists from six countries, including the Philippines, for another six months, Finance Minister Koo Yun-cheol announced Wednesday.

Under the plan, the exemption for C-3-2 group tourist visas—originally set to expire Wednesday—will remain in effect until the end of June next year.

Aside from the Philippines, the visa fee waiver also covers group travelers from China, India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Koo said the extension aims “to maintain momentum in inbound tourism,” as South Korea continues efforts to attract more foreign visitors.

The standard processing fee for a C-3-2 visa is currently set at 18,000 won (about USD12.46). (Yonhap)
