The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that a 78-year-old man
from Gumaca, Quezon, has won the ₱89,548,070.20 jackpot prize in the SuperLotto 6/49
draw held on August 19, 2025.
The lucky millionaire is a father of six who relies solely on a ₱2,000.00 monthly pension
from the Social Security System (SSS). He shared that he had been playing PCSO’s
lottery since it started in the Philippines and consistently used a combination of his
children’s birth dates as his “alagang numbers.”

“Ito ay isang biyaya kaya taos-puso akong
nagpapasalamat sa Diyos at sa PCSO sa
pagkakataong ito. Mababago na aming buhay!”
he said while claiming his prize at PCSO’s main
office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.
The winning ticket, bearing the combination 17-27-
21-30-15-12, was purchased from a lottery outlet
along Bonifacio St. in Gumaca. The winner stated
that he plans to deposit the prize in a bank and use
it to secure the future of his 6 children.
Meanwhile, PCSO reminds the public that jackpot prizes can only be claimed at its main
office. Claimants must present the original winning ticket and two valid government-issued
IDs. Under Republic Act 1169, lotto tickets are valid for one year from the date of the
draw. Prizes not claimed within this period will be forfeited and will be automatically
transferred to the Charity Fund.
In accordance with the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20% tax
is automatically deducted from winnings exceeding ₱10,000.
The SuperLotto 6/49 draw is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:00 PM,
broadcast live on IBC-13 and D8TV. For official results and updates on PCSO games and
services, the public is encouraged to visit the PCSO website and its verified social media
