
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Philippine Racing Commission formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the country’s 2026 horse racing events during a ceremony held on January 19, 2026 at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
The partnership was formalized by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles and PHILRACOM Chairperson Aurelio De Leon, reaffirming the two agencies’ shared commitment to further promote and develop the horse racing industry in the Philippines.
Under the agreement, PCSO will continue to provide support through the allocation of cash prizes and trophies for major horse racing events scheduled throughout the year. For 2026, PCSO has committed a total of P17,250,000 to support 14 race events, underscoring its role in sustaining and uplifting the sector.

De Leon expressed his gratitude to PCSO, emphasizing that strong collaboration between institutions is vital in advancing horse racing as an important component of the country’s sports and entertainment industry.
The agreement also highlights the shared commitment of PCSO and PHILRACOM to promote horse racing tourism and PCSO gaming products through joint advertising and publicity initiatives. The MOA further strengthens their longstanding partnership and supports the continued growth of the Philippine horse racing industry.
