In a significant step toward disaster preparedness, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over 50 Emergency Go Bags to Barangay 503, Zone 50, District 4, Manila, in a ceremony held at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
SK chairperson Jhemil Anne A. Ilao received the go bags on behalf of the barangay from PCSO Assistant General Manager Arnel Casas, who represented PCSO general manager Mel Robles.
Each bag contains essential survival items including first-aid kits, portable flashlights, and other vital supplies to provide immediate support during emergencies and disasters.
Barangay 503, known for its vulnerability to flooding, will greatly benefit from this proactive initiative. SK Chairperson Ilao highlighted the importance of these go bags, in strengthening the community’s preparedness and ability to respond effectively to calamities.
This effort reflects PCSO’s commitment to public welfare and disaster resilience, ensuring that vulnerable communities are equipped with essential resources for emergency situations.
