PCSO Donates Rescue Devices and Disaster Preparedness Kits to Quezon, Nueva Ecija

On June 20, 2025, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) conducted a meaningful turnover ceremony at the Quezon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QMDRRMO) in Quezon, Nueva Ecija.

Spearheaded by Director Janet De Leon Mercado, the PCSO donated disaster preparedness kits and devices under the Corporate Social Responsibility program to help different barangays prepare for the upcoming rainy season.

The donated items consist of trauma bags, oxygen tanks, handheld radios, heavy-duty searchlights, rescue helmets, life jackets, rescue ropes, stretchers, weighing scales, first aid kits, and various medical devices.


The town of Quezon is one of the areas in the province of Nueva Ecija that frequently experiences strong typhoons and flooding. With its geographic vulnerability to extreme weather events, disaster preparedness has become a top priority for the local government.

Mayor Mariano “Boyet” Joson expressed his deep gratitude for the equipment and emphasized that these resources would play a crucial role in protecting the welfare of residents and ensuring a more efficient and timely response during emergencies.

PCSO continues to extend its support not only to the sick and persons with disabilities but also to communities that need to be ready for disasters. This event highlights the agency’s steadfast dedication to serving Filipinos in times of crisis.
