NU confirmed what had long been buzzing in volleyball circles: Meneses, who engineered the Lady Bulldogs’ title conquest in UAAP Season 87, is stepping down to focus on his Premier Volleyball League duties with the Creamline Cool Smashers. Regine Diego, a rising tactician known for her developmental work with young athletes, will take the reins.
For NU, the decision marks the end of a glittering chapter. Under Meneses, the Lady Bulldogs not only reclaimed the women’s volleyball throne but also delivered an unprecedented golden double for the school—winning both the men’s and women’s titles in the same season.
