Palo Alto Networks has unveiled Prisma SASE 4.0, its most advanced secure access service edge (SASE) solution yet—redefining enterprise security with new AI-driven capabilities designed to neutralize the most elusive web threats.
At the heart of Prisma SASE 4.0 is the groundbreaking Prisma Browser, which provides real-time, in-browser threat protection—directly tackling attacks that assemble inside the browser and evade traditional secure web gateways. This addresses a growing blind spot as browsers increasingly serve as the central hub for enterprise work, hosting AI tools, cloud apps, and critical data.

Neutralizing threats at the browser level
As more business-critical applications and sensitive data migrate into the browser, consumer-grade browsers lack the security depth needed to fend off advanced attacks. Prisma Browser closes this gap by intercepting and disarming encrypted, evasive malware directly in the browser—before it can inflict damage—adding a critical security layer that legacy solutions miss.
Smarter AI-powered data security
Prisma SASE 4.0 introduces AI-augmented data classification, enabling organizations to protect sensitive data even as AI agents, copilots, and browser plugins gain access to corporate information. Its 140+ pre-trained machine learning classifiers, combined with customizable models, allow precise protection of unstructured data such as patents, contracts, and source code—achieving 10x fewer false positives than traditional methods.
Adaptive private app security
Private applications are the backbone of modern businesses but remain prime targets for attackers. Prisma SASE 4.0’s new Private App Security uses adaptive protection to shield dynamic private apps—replacing outdated, rule-based web application firewalls (WAFs) with self-updating security policies that evolve alongside applications.
Cementing market leadership
Palo Alto Networks continues to lead the SASE market, with annual recurring revenue (ARR) reaching $1.3 billion in FY2025, growing 35% year-over-year—more than double the overall market growth rate. The company has also been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SASE Platforms for three consecutive years, alongside consistent leadership positions in the Magic Quadrants for Security Service Edge and SD-WAN.
Prisma SASE now serves over 6,300 customers, including one-third of the Fortune 500, while adoption of Prisma Browser has surpassed 6 million licensed seats.
Prisma SASE 4.0 and its innovations will be generally available later this year.
