Palawan Group Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado emphasized that ProtekTODO Fire 99 provides affordable financial support that helps families recover and rebuild after devastating fire incidents.

During a recent media briefing focused on fire prevention awareness and financial readiness, Palawan ProtekTODO highlighted the importance of empowering communities with both knowledge and practical solutions.

The product reflects the company’s promise of “Patingi-tingi ang Presyo pero Todo ang Benepisyo,” emphasizing that meaningful protection can still be affordable and within reach for ordinary Filipino households.

A policyholder also shared her family’s experience during the event, recounting how ProtekTODO Fire 99 helped them begin rebuilding after a fire damaged their home in Addition Hills, Mandaluyong.

Her story illustrated the real impact of accessible insurance and reinforced the Palawan Group’s commitment to treating its customers not just as clients, but as members of the community who deserve genuine support during difficult times.

Lisa Castro-Sabado, Chief Business Development Officer of the Palawan Group, emphasized how devastating fire incidents can be for families who may lose everything they have worked hard to build.

“A fire can change everything a family has worked for in an instant. It can take their home, their belongings, and the sense of security they have built over the years. With ProtekTODO Fire 99, families can access affordable and reliable support that helps them recover from the immediate aftermath, rebuild their homes, and restore their daily lives. It gives families the confidence and hope they need to face the future, knowing they are not alone in rebuilding what fire has taken from them,” she said.

Statistics from the Bureau of Fire Protection–National Capital Region (BFP–NCR) underscore the urgency of improving fire safety practices.

The agency’s Comparative Fire Incident Report recorded 3,565 fire incidents across Metro Manila. Faulty electrical connections, smoking, and open-flame cooking ranked among the leading causes, highlighting how common household activities can become serious hazards without proper safety precautions.

Gladwin Abram So, REMT, PhD, Fire Marshal of the Association of Volunteer Fire Chiefs and Firefighters of the Philippines Inc., stressed that strengthening public awareness remains one of the most effective ways to reduce fire incidents. He noted that many fires can be prevented when households stay informed about potential risks and consistently observe basic fire safety measures.

Bernard Kaibigan, Chief Marketing Officer of the Palawan Group, said the company’s efforts are rooted in the goal of making protection more inclusive and accessible.

“ProtekTODO Fire 99 is built on the belief that every Filipino family deserves protection and peace of mind. Our initiative is designed to make insurance simple, accessible, and meaningful, so that when crises strike, families are supported, not alone. It’s about empowering communities to take proactive steps toward safety, security, and resilience, because no one should face life’s unexpected challenges without a safety net,” he said.

As Fire Prevention Month continues, Palawan ProtekTODO encourages families to remain proactive in protecting their homes by regularly checking electrical wiring, staying vigilant while cooking, and maintaining fire-safe practices within their households. Combining these preventive measures with affordable financial protection can help families better withstand the impact of unexpected emergencies.

ProtekTODO Fire 99 is available at Palawan Pawnshop–Palawan Express Pera Padala branches nationwide and online through the PalawanPay app, Lazada, and Shopee. Through continued efforts in education, awareness, and accessible microinsurance, Palawan ProtekTODO aims to help more Filipino families stay protected, prepared, and resilient in the face of fire-related risks.
