The Palawan Group of Companies (PGC), home to trusted financial services brands such as Palawan Pawnshop, Palawan Express Pera Padala, Palawan ProtekTODO, Palawan Pawnshop Jewelry, and the rapidly expanding digital wallet PalawanPay, proudly introduces Philippine TV and movie icon Marian Rivera as its newest brand ambassador.
Renowned for her strong family values and practical financial mindset, Marian perfectly embodies the principles that PGC upholds. More than just a brand endorsement, this collaboration aims to empower communities and promote financial literacy among Filipinos.
“This partnership is meaningful to me. I’m honored to work with a Filipino company that aligns with my values. I truly admire how Palawan continues to innovate, making financial transactions more convenient and accessible for its loyal customers,” Marian shared.
PGC president and CEO Karlo M. Castro also expressed his excitement about the partnership: “We sought someone who truly represents what Palawan stands for—resilience, hard work, and success. Marian’s journey, sacrifices, and dedication to her family and career mirror Palawan’s story. Like Marian, Palawan is always striving and always present for Filipinos.”
Marian echoed these sentiments: “Palawan has served millions of Filipinos for years, standing the test of time. Like me, Palawan evolves and adapts, always offering something new while staying true to its roots. In life, growth is essential, but we must always stay grounded in our core values.”

Growth, priorities, and evolving roles
With the brand’s new tagline, ‘Subukan Na at Patunayan! I-Palawan Mo na ‘Yan!’, Marian’s launch as PGC’s new ambassador comes at a pivotal time. As she nears her 20th year in showbiz, she remains a symbol of resilience, hard work, and grace—qualities that seamlessly align with PGC’s mission.
“When I started, my sole focus was my career. The beginning was tough, but with perseverance and determination, I achieved dreams I once thought were unreachable. There were many challenges, but every step was worth it. I’m happy with where I am now, and I’m proud of my journey,” she said.
Now a mother of two at 40, Marian embraces this new phase in life, balancing motherhood with meaningful acting roles. Similarly, as PGC approaches its 40th anniversary, it continues to grow and expand beyond its roots in Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala, proving that transformation is key to long-term success.
“My priorities have shifted, especially now that I have a family. I chose more meaningful projects like Rewind (2023) and Balota (2024). But no matter how much I evolve, I remain the same Marian—more mature, yet still grounded,” she shared.
For Marian, growth isn’t just about personal success—it’s about being financially savvy and responsible, particularly as a hands-on mom, wife, and businesswoman.
“I manage our household expenses and business ventures. I prioritize budgeting and use financial apps to track income and spending. Every week, I review our financial goals and adjust accordingly.

This keeps me focused and ensures we make smart money decisions,” she added.
So when PGC approached her with the opportunity to be an ambassador, the decision was easy. “I said ‘yes’ because I believe in their mission to provide accessible financial services to every Filipino. Their values align with mine—family, community, and empowerment.”
Championing financial literacy
Beyond endorsing the brand, Marian hopes to inspire her fans to take control of their finances.
“I want to be a role model by encouraging my supporters to manage their money wisely. Through my partnership with Palawan, I hope to inspire more Filipinos to make informed financial decisions for their families and future.”
Marian finds Palawan Express Pera Padala particularly impactful among PGC’s various services: “It’s a reliable, fast, and affordable way for families to send and receive money—especially for OFWs who want to support their loved ones in the Philippines. It’s heartwarming to know that this service helps families stay connected and supported, regardless of distance.”
Whether sending money, securing loans, or making payments via PalawanPay, Marian believes that PGC’s services ease financial burdens and empower families to focus on what truly matters—their well-being and future.
With its new tagline, ‘Subukan Na at Patunayan! I-Palawan Mo na ‘Yan!’ and Marian Rivera-Dantes lead the charge. PGC continues to advocate for financial empowerment and community support, reinforcing its status as one of the country’s most trusted financial service providers.
