Palawan Group of Companies, DSWD NCR, and LandBank NCR formally signed the Memorandum of Agreement to strengthen payout services and support programs for Filipino families in crisis,

The Palawan Group of Companies (PGC) is strengthening its commitment to uplift Filipino lives through a vital partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Land Bank of the Philippines. This collaboration, formalized at a ceremonial contract signing at the DSWD Sanctuary Center, follows a successful pilot in Region IV and is now expanding to benefit around 300,000 individuals in Metro Manila under DSWD’s key assistance programs.

Palawan Group has once again been entrusted to deliver fast, respectful, and compassionate payout services for beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP). But its involvement goes beyond just financial disbursement.

PGC is also supporting the Family Development Sessions (FDS) under the 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program)—an essential initiative that focuses on strengthening families through financial literacy, parenting education, and community building.

Taking its mission a step further, PGC has introduced two new microinsurance products tailored for 4Ps members: PAMILYA 100 and PAMILYA PREMIUM 300. These affordable insurance plans, offered at payout centers by trained associates, are designed to help families cope with unexpected life events—ensuring they’re not only supported today but also protected for tomorrow.

True to its promise of providing “mura, mabilis, at walang kuskos balungos” (affordable, fast, and hassle-free) services, PGC continues to bring critical support directly to the hands of those who need it most.

Bienvenido Jr. V. Barbosa of DSWD NCR echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the importance of the initiative. “This is exactly the kind of opportunity we’ve been working toward. It also brings us one step closer to our goal of fully digitalizing all our programs.”

With this strengthened alliance, Palawan Group proves once again that empowering communities through accessible financial services, education, and protection can lead to lasting impact. Through its continued participation in government aid programs and community-driven efforts, PGC stands as a model for how the private sector can help build a stronger, more secure future for every Filipino.
