Manila — The Office of the President suspends work in all government offices on December 29, 2025 (Monday) and January 2, 2026 (Friday).
Malacañang Palace released Memorandum Circular No. 111. on December 16, 2025. According to the memorandum, which will take effect immediately, the suspension of work in the government office is to give the employees ample time to celebrate the New Year’s activities and to allow them to travel to and from different regions in the country.
However, agencies responsible for health services, disaster preparedness and response will remain operational.
The suspension of work of private companies, on the other hand, will remain at the decision of their superiors.
