The Palace on Wednesday urged the public not to misinterpret or politicize the free rides offered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration in honor of Labor Day.
Claire Castro said in a briefing.
Previously, President Marcos announce that MRT 3 and LRT 1 and 2 rides were free for Labor Day.
Marcos said the Libreng Sakay would be offered from April 30 to May 3 to honor the hard work of the working sector.
Castro said that the free rides would be offered for four days so that a lot of commuters would feel the lessened burden for May 1.
”Kasi po, kung May 1 lang po ibibigay, karamihan naman po walang pasok so hindi naman po nila mararamdaman iyong benepisyong matatanggap po nila,” she said.
