PAL adds more International Flights for Holiday Season

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is ramping up its international flight frequencies and capacity ahead of the expected surge in passenger traffic during the 2025 holiday season.

Between mid-December 2025 and mid-January 2026, PAL will double its Manila–Perth flights from three to six weekly, while Manila–Melbourne services will increase from five flights per week to daily.

The airline will also deploy larger aircraft for select routes, with Airbus A330s serving some Manila–Brisbane flights, while Melbourne routes will use A330-300s and Perth flights will continue to utilize A321neos.

“As the country’s flag carrier, we remain committed to enhancing our network, ensuring we meet robust demand and connect travelers to more destinations during the peak travel season,” said PAL president Richard Nuttall in a statement Thursday.

PAL’s Manila–Seattle route will expand from three to five times weekly starting November 25, complementing its daily flights to San Francisco and Guam, twice-daily flights to Los Angeles, thrice-weekly flights to New York, and five weekly services to Honolulu.

The airline will also boost its East Asian operations. From October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, Manila–Da Nang flights will become daily (from three weekly), while Manila–Busan services will rise from seven to 11 per week.

In Japan, PAL will launch thrice-weekly Manila–Sapporo flights from November 24 to March 27. It will also add 12 roundtrips between Manila and Narita from December 18 to January 6, and 12 extra Manila–Osaka flights from December 19 to January 7.

Additional flights will be mounted between Manila and Nagoya on December 25, 27, and January 3, alongside five extra Cebu–Osaka roundtrips from December 25 to January 3, and four additional Cebu–Narita flights from December 28 to January 7.

The airline said these adjustments aim to accommodate heightened travel demand and provide passengers with more flight options during the peak holiday period.
