The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) turned over a Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) to the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) on Thursday, March 20.
The donation is part of PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco’s P300 million financial aid commitment to the PNPA, which he announced during the academy’s 45th Alumni Homecoming held recently at Camp Gen. Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite.
Chairman Tengco formally handed over the PTV to Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz, Executive Director of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and Chairman of the PNPA Alumni Association Inc. (PNPAAAI).
Outfitted with essential emergency tools such as a GPS navigation system, ambulance stretcher, medical oxygen, wheelchair, and a first aid kit, the PTV is designed to provide urgent medical transport and care for PNPA personnel and cadets.
“This donation reflects PAGCOR’s commitment to strengthening the law enforcement community by enhancing facilities that support crime prevention and the welfare of our uniformed personnel,” said Chairman Tengco.
Col. Marcial L. Fa-ed, head of PNPA’s Logistics Management Division, shared that the vehicle will be assigned to the academy’s dispensary.
“Kailangan talaga namin ito para sa mga kadeteng kailangang dalhin sa ospital,” he said. “Malaking tulong ito sa amin. Maraming salamat kay chairman Tengco at sa buong PAGCOR team.”
