Pacers rally late to stun warriors for first win of the season

Aaron Nesmith exploded for a season-high 31 points, while Quenton Jackson and Pascal Siakam delivered clutch triples down the stretch as the short-handed Indiana Pacers stunned the Golden State Warriors, 114-109, on Saturday night in Indianapolis.

Despite missing key players Tyrese Haliburton, Ben Mathurin, Obi Toppin, and T.J. McConnell, the Pacers erased an 11-point deficit in the final six minutes to secure their first win in six games this season.

Golden State appeared in control after Stephen Curry drained a 3-pointer to make it 104-93 with 6:05 left. But Indiana stormed back with a 9-0 run, eventually taking the lead at 109-107 on Jackson’s triple with 1:09 remaining.

After Jimmy Butler III missed a go-ahead free throw that would have tied the game, Siakam buried a deep 26-footer with 37.1 seconds left to seal the win.
Jackson capped his night with two free throws to finish with 25 points and 10 assists, while Siakam tallied 27 points. Isaiah Jackson added 10 points and eight rebounds, and Jarace Walker chipped in nine boards and five assists.

Curry led the Warriors with 24 points but struggled from long range, hitting just 4-of-16 3-pointers. Golden State collectively went 12-for-44 (27%) from beyond the arc.
