P680,000 shabu haul: 4 suspects fall in Teresa drug sting

Four suspects were arrested after an undercover drug operation in Teresa, Rizal, yielded about Php 680,000 worth of suspected shabu, authorities said.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Rizal Provincial Office carried out the buy-bust in Barangay Bagumbayan on Aug. 29.

The operation was conducted in coordination with the Philippine National Police Regional Intelligence Unit 4A-Provincial Intelligence Team.

Authorities recovered approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu from the operation, based on the initial inventory.

PDEA placed the standard value of the confiscated suspected illegal drugs at around Php 680,000.

Investigators also seized drug paraphernalia and the money used by undercover operatives in the transaction.

The suspects are facing complaints for conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of dangerous drugs.

The alleged offenses fall under Sections 5 in relation to Section 26(b), Section 12 and Section 15 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
