P1.02-M shabu haul: High-value suspect falls in CamSur sting

Police arrested an alleged high-value drug suspect and seized about Php 1.02 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Bula, Camarines Sur.

The 46-year-old suspect, identified only as alias “Neil,” was caught in Barangay Pawili on Saturday after authorities conducted surveillance and intelligence gathering on his alleged drug activities.

Police recovered about 150 grams of suspected shabu during the operation.

The seized drugs were placed at an estimated street value of Php 1,020,000.

Police Regional Office Bicol Director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said the arrest stemmed from sustained intelligence work and coordination among operating units.

The suspect was taken to the Bula Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

The confiscated substances and other evidence will undergo laboratory examination at the Provincial Forensic Unit.

The suspect faces complaints for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
