Over 70K pass teachers’ licensure exams -PRC

More than 70,000 examinees passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers for elementary and secondary education, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Thursday.

The PRC said 21,967 out of 43,035 examinees passed the elementary level exam.

For the secondary level, 57,729 out of 79,493 examinees, or 72.62 percent, met the passing mark.

The topnotchers in both categories came from Cebu Normal University, also known as Cebu State College.

Christel Zamora de los Reyes led the elementary level passers with a rating of 94.4.

Jed Vincent Requilme Abadia topped the secondary level with a score of 94.80.

In terms of school performance, West Visayas State University–La Paz posted the highest passing rate for elementary teachers at 99.26 percent.

Cebu State College recorded the highest passing rate for secondary teachers at 97.57 percent.

The PRC said results for 49 examinees were withheld “pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations,” while three others were withheld for “further verification of submitted documents.”

The licensure examinations were held on September 21 and November 30, 2025, in multiple testing centers nationwide.
