The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday reported that 52,373 individuals applied for various positions in the agency this year.

Applicants are competing for 2,000 newly created regular quota positions and 6,589 attrition quota slots.

Attrition quotas are intended to replenish personnel following separations from the service.

The number of applicants this year surpassed the 50,107 applicants recorded in 2024.

Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. emphasized the agency seeks candidates with integrity, courage, and professionalism.

“Only those truly worthy deserve to wear the badge and uphold the honor of our institution,” Nartatez said.

The PNP highlighted that recruitment follows a “nameless and faceless system” to ensure objectivity.

Physical fitness is measured through standardized Body Mass Index machines and RFID-timed three-kilometer runs.

The agency stressed that only applicants who are physically and mentally prepared will be considered.

Successful recruits will join the PNP in upholding law and order across the country.
