More than 4,000 runners laced up for a cause at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) second Charity Run, held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City.

Now on its second year, the PCSO Charity Run continues to blend fitness with compassion, uniting Filipinos under the banner of charity and social responsibility.

The annual event coincides with the celebration of the National Day of Charity under Proclamation No. 598 and aligns with PCSO’s mission to extend aid to Filipinos in need.

Organized in partnership with RunRio, one of the country’s premier race organizers, this year’s Charity Run featured 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K categories. Participants came from all walks of life — including government agencies, private organizations, PCSO employees, beneficiaries, and members of the running community.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, who joined the 5K race, expressed gratitude for the event’s increasing popularity and impact.

“We have doubled the number, and it’s becoming more popular — not just because of its simplicity and the freebies you get, but because of the Declaration of Charity,” Robles said. “October 30 is National Charity Day, and we want everyone to be aware that the government, through our agency, is really pushing forward for charity. Lahat po tinutulungan natin — nakita nyo nga po ‘yung sa Cebu, Masbate, kahit bashers tinutulungan natin.”

The 2025 PCSO Charity Run once again showcased the agency’s dedication to promoting health, camaraderie, and generosity while raising awareness about the importance of collective giving.

Through the event, the PCSO reinforces its advocacy of “Sa Bawat Taya, May Kawanggawa” — turning every stride, every heartbeat, and every finish line into a step of hope for communities across the nation.
