Over 3,500 jobseekers hired on the spot at DOLE job fairs nationwide

A total of 3,572 jobseekers landed jobs on the spot at job fairs held across the country from January to early April this year, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported Monday.

In a Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing, Assistant Secretary Patrick Patriwirawan Jr. said DOLE has conducted 128 job fairs nationwide since the start of 2025, offering around 244,000 job vacancies from 2,253 partner employers.

“From January to April, we have already conducted 128 job fair activities. We have reached 244,000 job vacancies, solicited from our partner employers which reached 2,253,” said Patriwirawan, who also serves as officer-in-charge of DOLE’s Bureau of Local Employment.

He emphasized the government’s effort to connect jobseekers not only to employment opportunities but also to services from agencies like the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Health (DOH).

Industries with high vacancy rates include Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM), transport and logistics, hotel and restaurant, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail trade.

Recent job fairs were held in Quezon City, Makati, Pasay, Las Piñas, Manila, and Valenzuela between March 14 and 31.
