Pangilinan–led Manila Electric Company (Meralco), together with One Meralco Foundation, Meralco PowerGen Corporation, and Meralco Power Academy, delivered a commanding performance at the 61st Anvil Awards, bringing home a total of 20 trophies—five Golds and 15 Silvers—at the awards night held at Solaire Resort North.

Meralco was also named a finalist for Company of the Year, underscoring the breadth and consistency of its communications and engagement efforts across the organization.

The group was recognized for standout programs spanning reliable service communications, strategic use of digital platforms, animal welfare advocacy, corporate social responsibility, cybersecurity awareness, renewable energy advancement, internal audit communications, and media and information literacy.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, the Anvil Awards—widely regarded as the “Oscars” of Philippine public relations—honor programs, campaigns, and tools that exemplify the highest standards of professional practice in the industry.

The strong showing by Meralco and its affiliated units reflects a sustained commitment to clear, responsible, and impactful communication, aligning corporate performance with public trust, social responsibility, and long-term nation-building goals.
