Oil price hike set Tuesday

MANILA – Oil firms announced big-time price hikes beginning Tuesday (April 1).

In separate advisories on Monday, Caltex, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, and Shell said gasoline prices will increase by PHP1.40 per liter and diesel prices by PHP1.20 per liter.

Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also increase kerosene prices by PHP1.20 per liter. Other oil firms are expected to follow suit.

Last week, oil companies implemented a price increase of PHP1.10 per liter for gasoline and PHP0.40 per liter for diesel and kerosene.

As of March 25, gasoline and diesel have a total net increase of PHP3.25 per liter while kerosene has a total net decrease of PHP0.30 per liter.
