Infrastructure damage from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Maasim, Sarangani, rose to Php 1.29 billion, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said Wednesday.
OCD information officer Diego Mariano said 774 infrastructure facilities had been reported damaged, although he did not immediately provide a breakdown.
Damage to agriculture reached Php 29.8 million in Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur.
The number of deaths still undergoing verification remained at 68, while 33 persons were still missing and 1,339 others were injured.
Earlier reports from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council showed that casualties were concentrated in the Davao Region and Soccsksargen.
The OCD said the quake affected 339,254 families, or 1,417,078 individuals, with 4,464 families, or 19,791 persons, staying in 45 evacuation centers.
Damaged houses reached 60,281, while 13,652 homes were reported destroyed.
The Philippine Army said its disaster response teams continued delivering aid to isolated communities in Davao Occidental and Sarangani, including potable water, food packs, rice, bottled water, and other relief supplies. From June 11 to 15, Army units and the Philippine Air Force helped deliver 4,925 food packs, 800 five-kilogram rice packs, 3,400 bottles of water, 400 boxes of relief goods, 100 containers of 20-liter potable water, and 40 cases of six-liter bottled water to affected areas.
