
Traffic conditions along the North Luzon Expressway were generally light on Christmas morning, Dec. 25, the NLEx Corporation said.
In a morning advisory, the operator noted minimal congestion at key toll plazas, including Balintawak, Mindanao and Bocaue.
Light vehicle flow was likewise recorded in both directions of the San Fernando section in Pampanga.
According to the company, similar conditions prevailed across other segments of the NLEx–SCTEx–NLEx Connector, covering major interchanges and toll collection areas.
The SCTEx links Subic, Clark and Tarlac, while the NLEx Connector serves as the expressway extension connecting northern routes to southern Metro Manila and the Skyway.
Separately, road rehabilitation along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue commenced late Wednesday night, Dec. 24, the Department of Public Works and Highways said.
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon earlier said reblocking works and asphalt overlay on EDSA busway lanes would continue around the clock during the holiday period until early Jan. 5, 2026.
The DPWH said the schedule was timed to coincide with reduced traffic volume as many commuters travel out of Metro Manila for the holidays.
