Aspiring archers now have a new place to hone their skills following the opening of an international-standard archery range at a 10-hectare mixed-use property development in Quezon City.
The Circulo Verde range features target distances that meet global standards, aims to provide a much-needed training ground for both recreational shooters and competitive athletes.
“I’m excited about this new archery range, because for the longest time, in Metro Manila, there’s no public range,” national archery coach Nino Sinco said during the range’s grand opening on Saturday.
“The only one that existed before closed down. So now, this one is totally open. Anyone from any club can come here and shoot here,” he said.
Ortigas Land president and corporate resources division head Michael David Abundo III also graced the event.
Sinco will manage the range along with Olympus Archery Philippines president Rona Galicano, Xavier Archery Club secretary general Macky Santos and other notable coaches in the country.
As part of Ortigas Land’s commitment to promote healthy and active lifestyle for Filipinos, the sports hub also has a bicycle playground, basketball court, international football association-standard field, and radio-controlled car race track. (PNA)
