New Motorsports Complex to boost economy and tourism in Central Luzon

The largest and most advanced motorsports complex in the Philippines is set to rise at the Pradera Verde Racing Circuit (PRVC) in Barangay Sto Niño, with groundbreaking taking place on Sunday on a 42-hectare site. Designed by Tilke Engineers & Architects, the German firm renowned for creating many iconic Formula 1 tracks, the PRVC aims to establish Central Luzon as a premier racing destination.

The complex will feature a 4.8-kilometer circuit with 17 turns, multiple configurations, a drag strip, and a modern V-shaped pit building equipped with 44 garages. Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda expressed optimism that the project will enhance tourism, create jobs, and stimulate economic activities not only in Lubao but throughout the region.

“This is more than a racetrack. It’s a symbol of growth, opportunity, and world-class ambition for Pampanga,” said Hisham Ibrahim of Tilke Engineers. He praised PRVC president Rodolfo Pineda for his vision and commitment to community progress, stating, “We are honored to help bring this vision to life.”

In addition to racing, PRVC will offer training programs, trackside villas, and community initiatives aimed at promoting local talent and tourism. The construction is expected to be completed within 18 months, with inaugural events planned shortly thereafter.
