ILOILO CITY – Residents of Calinog, Iloilo, can expect more accessible and efficient government services following the inauguration of the municipality’s new Municipal Government Center.
The newly opened facility provides a centralized location for municipal offices, allowing residents to conduct government transactions more conveniently while offering employees an improved working environment.
Calinog Mayor Francisco Calvo said the government center would help municipal personnel perform their responsibilities more effectively and improve the delivery of essential public services.
The facility is designed to streamline government operations, enhance coordination among municipal offices, and provide residents with easier access to assistance and other local government services.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) funded the project’s first phase through the facilitation of Iloilo 3rd District Representative Lorenz Defensor, while the Calinog municipal government financed the second phase.
The blessing and inauguration ceremony was attended by Calvo, Vice Mayor Andrew Castaños, Iloilo 3rd District Board Member Mark Palabrica, Lambunao Vice Mayor Arvin Losaria, municipal officials, representatives of national government agencies, barangay leaders, and residents.
Local officials emphasized that the project represents an investment in strengthening municipal infrastructure and improving the government’s capacity to respond to community needs.
The new government center is expected to support more organized operations, faster transactions, and improved public service delivery for Calinog residents.
