At least 469 people have died in Nepal after severe floods and landslides tore through parts of the country, with hundreds more still unaccounted for.
The Kathmandu Post reported the updated toll Friday as authorities continued search and rescue operations in northern and central Nepal.
The Nepal Tourism Board said 667 people, including foreign visitors, remained missing as of late Thursday.
The disaster struck early Wednesday along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, where floodwaters swept away homes, roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
Several communities and travelers were left isolated as damaged transport links slowed access to affected areas.
The Nepali Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force deployed personnel for rescue and evacuation, while helicopters were used to reach locations cut off by the flooding.
Authorities were also checking the whereabouts of tourists and travelers who had been in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading when the floods hit.
In neighboring Tibet, Chinese authorities reported three deaths and more than 550 people missing, bringing the combined confirmed death toll in Nepal and Tibet to 472.
