NCRPO maintains full security operations as Holy Week travelers return

Police operations across Metro Manila remain on high alert as vacationers begin returning from the provinces following the Holy Week break.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin said inspections and ground monitoring will continue, with increased police visibility, assistance desks, and patrols in key areas.

“Metro Manila is bracing for a wave of returning travelers… Security operations remain in full swing,” Aberin said.

He encouraged the public to stay alert, cooperate with authorities, and report any suspicious activities to police hotlines or help desks.

“(The) NCRPO is ready. We will be there in the streets to deliver safety and security services to the people,” Aberin added.

The NCRPO consists of the Manila, Quezon City, Northern, Southern, and Eastern Police Districts. Earlier, the Philippine National Police placed all units on heightened alert and deployed more than 65,000 personnel nationwide to ensure a peaceful Holy Week.
